The Sault Ste. Marie YMCA is looking for motivated individuals throughout Sault Ste. Marie who have the skills, passion, and vision to contribute as valued members of our volunteer Board of Directors. We hope to fill up to four positions.
We are especially seeking individuals who have…
- A professional accounting designation
- A business degree or a small/medium business owner
- A legal or policing background/experience
- A background in healthcare
The Board of Directors meets a minimum of 5 times per year and strives to meet up to 10 times per year. Each Director contributes to a minimum of one sub-committee and must play an active role in philanthropic & fundraising activities or events.
Board members generally serve three-year terms. A Vulnerable Sector Check is required, as is a short online Child Protection course.
