The Sault Ste. Marie YMCA has been proudly serving the community of Sault Ste. Marie for more than 120 years.
The YMCA hosts the largest fitness centre in our community, with a full range of cardio and strength training equipment. We offer personal training, aquatics programs and swimming lessons, child and youth fitness and sports programs, group fitness classes, a gymnasium, and squash courts.
But more than that, we are the only local fitness and community centre that is a also a REGISTERED CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION.

Our YMCA Strong Communities Campaign focuses on providing access and resources to YMCA programs that allow children, youth, adults, seniors, and families an opportunity to reach their potential and live healthier, happier lives. It is an underlying goal of the YMCA to assist equity-deserving youth, individuals, and families in accessing Y programs and services, regardless of their financial ability to pay full fees.
Your donations provide an opportunity to send children from Sault Ste. Marie and area to day camp, help a child learn to swim, support seniors, and give parents piece of mind knowing their children are in a safe place when they are participating in activities at our local YMCA. The Strong Communities Campaign supports all ages and stages. No one is turned away from the Y, and your donation helps make that possible.
